L'Entresol level was renovated in 1995, having been occupied until then by an educational academy and a tailor's. The original features that had been lost or damaged were recovered and it was fitted out for use as the headquarters of Caixa Catalunya's Social Work and Foundation. In 2005 the Mezzanine was inaugurated as a new exhibition space.
Its most notable architectural features are the ceiling, a false ceiling featuring heavy relief work that continues the undulating waves of the façade, and the columns that complete the room aesthetically.
This space has been the setting for book launches, concerts, conferences, symposia, prize-giving ceremonies, interviews and health and safety campaigns, amongst many other activities.
